In-House Die Design and Fabrication
Unlike many extruders who outsource tooling, UPC designs and fabricates all extrusion dies in-house. This gives us complete control over quality, timing, and tool life — and allows us to make rapid adjustments when needed.
Our Tool & Die team works closely with Engineering during the design phase to ensure each die is optimized for flow, cooling, and ease of extrusion. Once approved, the die is precision-machined from high-quality stainless steel using CNC equipment, then hand-finished to exact specifications.
